As a kid, I always wrote: silly hand-drawn comics, short stories, childhood journals, and what not. My handwriting was bad (still is, truth be told), but I still love writing everything from news to academic work to columns to poetry to whatever you call the things I put in my Notes app. Maybe one day I’ll make a book with some of those things. That’s the goal, at least. Until then, feel free to look at my list of creative publications and samples of my newswriting (some featuring social media handles that have been deactivated for a while now). More will be coming in the future as long as I have motivation, things to write about, and places to submit my work to. (Even if they don’t, though, I’ll always have my Notes app and the friends who like my writing. Read on to stay posted for more updates on my writing!
Full-Blooded CHamaole
Remember how I said earlier that I’d like to make a book with some of my writing in it? Well, that dream came true with my first poetry chapbook, Full-Blooded CHamaole, which is now available! I’ve been working with Garden Party Collective as one of the four winners of their 2024 Chapbook Contest, and it has been a joy putting together my work to share with everyone. If you’re interested in reading about culture, the concept of home, and identity, give it a look!
